La Querola d'Ordino stands as a contemporary element amidst the meadows and forests of the Andorran valleys. Awarded in 2022 as the "Best Housing and Sustainability Project" in Andorra for sustainability and the environment by La Razón and as the "Best Engineering Project and First Place in Europe" by Samsung, this stunning complex, a multifamily building of sixty-five units, blends seamlessly with its surrounding environment. Jean Nouvel’s residential masterpiece, nestled in the mountains, combines the privacy and comfort of a private home with the benefits of community living. With art as its essence, La Querola has successfully developed practicality and functionality. Jean Nouvel, a beacon of global architecture, led the project in collaboration with Josep Ribas and Jordi Sala. This core concept is expressed differently in each of the sixty-five homes within the residential complex, creating personalized and original high-quality environments, ranging from rustic to modern styles, thanks also to the high quality of materials and supplies used. Within the residences, Gessi's excellence and distinctiveness are defined through the iconic metal-fabric of the Spotwater Gessi316 collection, which "dresses" steel with various textures, and the Inciso collection, which introduces a new aesthetic language to contemporary bathrooms.
