The Excelsior Hotel Gallia has always been one of the most prestigious hotels in Milan since 1932 when it opened for the first time under the name of Palazzo Gallia. Milan Studio Marco Piva prepared the restyling design project in 2015, which combined contemporary aesthetics with the original Belle Epoque style.
Reopened in 2016, the Katara Suite, with its thousand square meters, is the absolute top of the Italian Presidential Suite (daily rate starts from 20 thousand euro). Located on the seventh floor of the Excelsior Hotel Gallia, the Katara Suite is a model of luxury and elegance, with two terraces, four bedrooms and a private spa.
Conceived a selection of the most prestigious names in Italian design, including Gessi for all bathrooms, such a way that the references to the Art Deco and the atmosphere of The Great Gatsby in the immense suite are counterpointed by clear and direct appeal to the latest technology.
The Katara Suite is finally provided with a unique spa, inserted in the historic lantern and surrounded by green spaces. The private spa comprises a Jacuzzi with a diameter of 4 meters and a huge chandelier overhanging it, designed by Marco Piva in collaboration with Murrina and Gessi, within which a showerhead Private Wellness had been installed, in order to enjoy at the same time the water source and chromotherapy effect. The play of light and water were thought to give magical moments of relaxation to the guests.
