Gessi starring at the Saint Petersburg Design Week 2013

From 22 to 29 May 2013, took place the third edition of the design week in St. Petersburg in Russia and like every year the company Gessi was the guest of honor and the protagonist of the event that the beautiful city on the Neva dedicated to the design and at its most advanced and cutting-edge, hosting creative people, artists, architects and other international experts, in numerous events such as master classes, presentations, panel discussions, workshops and vernissage held in its beautiful location. On May 24, Smalta has presented its new showroom in Petrogradskaya Storna, which bears the name of Smalta Italian Design - Coffee & Project. Designed by the architect Dmitry Blankdesign Blank, the new space has the largest display of products iSpa and functioning of Gessi Private Wellness in St. Petersburg. The inauguration of the new showroom was also the occasion when Gessi and its well-known designer Prospero Rasulo held a conference on "The bathrooms in the world." With such theme Gessi wanted to express how quality design, and in particular their creations, can fit with all the ways of living the bathroom and cultures and architectures in the bathroom of very different geographical areas. This is because Gessi is focused on a design with a strong stylistic and highly identifier trace, but with that timeless value that typically creates icons and places itself above fashions and styles of the moment, and indeed creates - instead of following or suffer - fashions and styles that become eternal. Prospero Rasulo, famous for transforming everyday objects into art to use and live has expressed philosophy of the Gessi product emphasizing the role of emotions in the creative process of its products "particular emotions encourage us in desiring something, that make us dream, "says the designer," you should always add poetry to the creation of an object and make it happen with ethical processes and new sustainable materials. It is the only way to express respect for the people around us and to fulfill their dreams and needs."
