Exhibiting at ICFF for the first time, Gessi can boast a huge success. The show is North America's premier event for contemporary design with more than 500 exhibitors and 25,000 attendees. The Gessi Space at the Javitz Convetion Center, in midtown Manhattan has been packed with visitors from the opening to the closing hour. Designers, architects, project design team members and design enthusiasts, were thrilled to see the products so prominently displayed at the show. During the course of the show, many people were standing in the aisles facing the working shower with their mouths open in amazement. On the occasion of ICFF, Gessi unveiled its stunning Goccia line to the North American trade and consumers. Goccia, conceived by the renowned Italian designer and sculptor Prospero Rasulo, was inspired by the fluid and natural shape of a drop of water. Not only is Goccia innovative from a design standpoint, it's also eco friendly. Gessi's Private Wellness advanced and customizable shower systems, have also been on display. At ICFF, Gessi also showcased its award-winning Tremillimetri showerheads, voted "Best of Year" by the design community in the famous Interior Design magazine's annual product competition. Other Gessi designs at ICFF have won a plethora of Platinum, Gold and Silver ADEX awards for design excellence including the much celebrated Rettangolo and Ovale, as well as the highly popular Mimi. The professional design community of North America has enthusiastically embraced all Gessi products for their fresh, restrained style. In fact, Gessi designs with Rasulo, who also works with Zanotta, Terzani, Glas, and Rosenthal, et alt. tend to be minimalist in style. They have become iconic in the way that design has revolutionized the perception of faucets from mere a plumbing fitting to an object of art, aspiration and decoration. “Gessi products spring from creative freedom and a passion for objects liberated from prescribed functions and reinvented for new uses,” explains Luca Poletto, managing director, Gessi. “The company’s mission is to make everyday life more pleasant with objects of extraordinary beauty and functionality,” adds Larry Allen, director Gessi North America, Anaheim, Calif. Following the ICFF exhibition, all new Gessi bath and wellness Collections, will be available at select decorative hardware and plumbing showrooms throughout the U.S.
