This year’s Salone del Mobile was a huge success. At Gessi Milano, over 600 designers, architects, and dealers from across the globe joined together for an invite-only event to see the unveiling of Gessi’s first collaboration with American designer and world-renowned architect, David Rockwell. Rockwell introduced the Inciso Collection with a speech accompanied by an amazing multimedia show produced by the Gessi Communication team.
The show consisted of a video depicting a metalworking facility in New York where 5 blue collar workers are molding and shaping a piece of solid brass. By surprise, the 5 workers come alive on stage perform a 5-minute hypnotizing, hyper-energetic acrobatic routine. These dancers were chosen among some of the most famous dance and acrobatic institutions in the world. The performance flawlessly conveyed the masculine spirit of Inciso in its raw form. The Inciso Collection is a warm, modern line with subtle and elegant industrial details and marks Gessi’s first collection with an American designer. Whether in a residential or a commercial setting, Inciso line of bath fixtures coordinates well with sinks, bathtubs, and showers, and complements the accessory pieces such as towel bars and soap dispensers. Through the creativity and innovation of both companies, this new collection of tapware interprets a uniquely American ethos for today’s bath, with a touch of Italian flair.
