Near the famous ski resort of Alagna, situated on Piedmont side of Monte Rosa, architect Boggio looked after the renovation and the conservative renewal of an old Walser edifice, creating a new detached residential unit.
This project focused on the historical and environmental features of the original building, trying to respect and value its peculiarity. The architect believed it was crucial not to change what had been created by man depending on nature's pace. At the same time the project paid special attention to the reappraisal and optimization of the living spaces, conceiving them in a current way. In order to preserve the original square unit of Walser buildings, the renovation removed each alteration occurred during the years.
The rustic mark of traditional Walser buildings, has been kept even in the bathroom and in the wellness area. The bathroom fittings feature the graceful Goccia Collection and wooden washbasins and countertops. In the wellens area we find a Turkish Bath with a big wooden bathtub in the middle and an emotional path made by Gessi.
