On November 24, 2016 Gessi held a night of celebration where over 400 friends, partners and guests from around the world congregated at Casa Gessi, Gessi’s flagship showroom in Singapore for the launch of Equilibrio, a new line of taps built with a unique aesthetic that has once again, placed Gessi as a leader in innovation and design. Excitement and celebration filled the air as guests waited expectantly for the unveiling of Equilibrio.
Equilibrio weaves nature seamlessly into the home by using natural materials and maintaining an organic aesthetic. The taps, dubbed “energetic archetypes” were inspired by the artistic and meditation practice of stone-balancing, which takes on the look of two ovoid stone-like forms in metal, stone and wood resting atop each other. Singapore is the second place to witness the launch of Equilibrio after it was first unveiled in Milan in April this year.
In true Italian spirit, Gunter Serafini, General Manager of Gessi Singapore took to the stage and regaled the guests before introducing Luigi Leonetti, Commercial Director of Gessi, where he enthralled the room with the story behind the birth of Equilibrio. “At Gessi, our designs stem from a mission that is led by wanting to create wellness of the mind, body, spirit of our clientele. This design took a long time to take shape but we believe in producing the very best, no matter the challenges,” says Leonetti.
CEO of Gessi, Eusebio Gualino adds, “We are delighted to be in Singapore once again and share the evening amongst our closest partners, our comrades, our family, as we unveil the Equilibrio for the first time outside of Milan.” As guests marveled at the picturesque taps, running their hands across its natural materials such as marble, river stones, teak and rosewood sitting on metals such as chrome, copper and gold, while also enjoying the finest of Italian hospitality.
The guests then gathered around for a captivating stone-balancing performance by Italian-Albanian artist-philosopher, Marsel Lesko, the life master who inspired the concept of “energetic archetype” for Equilibrio’s stacked stones design. The room fell silent as he carefully placed the heavy rocks atop each other in a meditative nature that left many guests in awe. “We hope that Equilibrio will help us bring our philosophy of wellness to a whole new level in Asia,” says Eusebio Gualino, as he toasted the crowd.
Following the Gessi flagship store in the heart of Milan, Equilibrio will now be on display also at the charming Casa Gessi Singapore, which is open to the public from Mondays to Saturdays, 10am to 7pm.
