INNOVATION AND STYLE FOR A BETTER LIFE

With a decisive contemporary cut and slender shape, the stainless-steel braided hose of Mesh makes an unprecedented and playfully eccen- tric kitchen tap. It is a plucky expression of creative, refined design and unmistakable style.

OFFICINE GESSI

Gessi experiments new styles for design that consist in a “translation” in the private space of instruments that are either professional or inspired by other environments. Thanks to these instruments, the kitchen becomes a laboratory with a high content of technology and design.

The research of pleasantness in one’s own private spaces leads, today, to the redevelopment of functional living spaces such as the kitchen. This room already represents a relevant part in the project of a house: it is a place full of technology and expressive possibilities.

OFFICINE GESSI collection gives to this style a brand new character, with a provocative “mechanical aesthetics” according to which the evocative shapes of the typical industrial tools, such as keys and bol- ts, become an integral and strongly distinctive part of the product. “Unfinished” surfaces and “rough” tones complete and reinforce this mood of reference, re- calling the typical treatments used for tools and their natural wearing-out.

GESSI’S DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY FOR CONTEMPORARY KITCHEN

In the past, the areas of the house where we used to prepare and taste our food were usually clearly separated. Nowadays, our lifestyle, habits and time available, are leading to the fusion of these processes, bringing together in just one space the locations where these two activities happen. This goes both for domestic environments and, more recently, for professional kitchens’ projects.

The kitchen faucet, as an object occupying a prominent place in this room, visually placed in its center and used very often, is an element that gives character to the atmosphere of the room. The tap becomes an object that can express style and personality.

The bright shades of the pure metal with warm and smooth tones, together with elegant and delicate or bold and emphasized patterns achieved through the exclusive Gessi manufacture of stainless steel - create pieces that are perfect for those who love minimalism but want also to give to their kitchen a polished high-tech touch that can be cozy and decorative at the same time.

STEEL, AN EXTRAORDINARY MATERIAL FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY DESIGN

A noble and precious material, long lasting, resistant and aesthetically pleasing. This element exalts Gessi faucets with simplicity, with an eye-catching cylindrical design of essential sophistication.

GESSI’S DESIGN RECALLS IN A CREATIVE WAY THE OPTIMISTIC SPIRIT OF THE FIFTIES AND THEIR ICONIC STYLE

The iconic objects of the 50’s and 60’s like Smeg domestic appliances, Brionvega’s radio or bakelite telephones are not just integral parts of the industrial design, but they are also universally identified as timeless goods. Inspired by these iconic products, HAPPY by Gessi recalls and proposes a specifical trend of the last few years for the first time in a range of taps: the protagonist is, of course, the return of the mid-20th Century taste. From the choice of pastel finishes to the aesthetical details, Gessi elegantly and playfully recalls and revises the typical styles of that time.

A STYLISH
AND PRACTICAL SOLUTION
FOR MODERN KITCHENS

Gessi took up this challenge long ago, replying with glamourous designs and brilliant technological solutions to the request of sink areas with their own personality, aesthetics and advanced functions. Since living spaces become more and more open and fluid, the kitchen area is often open to the living room and the counter often occupies just a small space under a window. This requires a tap able to “disappear” against the sink when it is not being used. Hence, Gessi developed a series of retractible mixers that can be pulled out when it is neces- sary and at the same time used in every intermediate positioning.
